A lot of vintage Royal Oaks out there are quite over polished and do not represent the idea Mr Genta had back then: What makes the Royal Oak is the mixed of brushed and polished sections and different shapes and edges, so every time you the watch offers the possibility to find something new. If you now polish your watch too often and especially bad, all those nice details are destroyed. Long story short: If you want to buy a vintage RO, buy a good one. In the end it is again condition and condition again.

Condition
The watch is quite well preserved. Since it has been worn, there are some scratches and marks all over the watch. But in total, the watch is looking good. All chamfers, angles, polished and brushed sections are well preserved and the bezel screws are not standing over the bezel, which you see quite often. The crown is the correct non-ap signed one. The dial and hands are tritium, which has gained a lovely mustard tone. The dial itself has little patina, but no scratches or marks. The bracelet has nearly no stretch, which is also quite common for old ROs. The movement is running perfectly, I have been wearing this watch for more than a week and had nearly no difference. You will get the watch with the extract and an AP travel case.
